25 printable Christmas elf letters that turn December into one continuing story adventure for children — with no elf doll required.

Year One is suitable from around age 3, and The Elf Letters are designed to grow with your child — each new set includes a little more text and gradually more advanced vocabulary, while always keeping the stories playful and child-friendly.

Meet Alfie, the invisible Christmas elf from Sweden.

In Sweden, he is known as Nisse. His story began in 2018, and now The Elf Letters are setting off into the world.

From December 1st through Christmas Day, children discover a new letter from Alfie every day. He is never actually seen. Instead, children discover him through his letters, clues, stories and the curious things that happen when he has been nearby.

You never see him. But you know he was here.

A WHOLE WORLD INSIDE THE LETTERS

The Elf Letters are much more than a collection of elf pranks.
Throughout December, children become part of Alfie’s world, discovering curious characters, strange traditions, little mysteries, playful missions and adventures such as Freezer Post, where a wish list travels to Santa through the freezer.

Some days bring an activity. Some bring a prank or mystery. Others simply open another door into Alfie’s story.

The story is big. The setup doesn’t have to be.

The Elf Letters are designed to create a rich Christmas experience without requiring elaborate preparation every evening.

Many of the ideas use ordinary things you already have at home.
You can keep Alfie’s visit beautifully simple or add miniatures and extra details if you love creating tiny Christmas worlds.

No doll required. No expensive props required.
